John Baker brings four decades of leadership and business experience covering private, public, listed and non-listed organisations, a number of which he has led successfully through every phase of the economic cycle.
A pragmatic, people centric leader, he is known for a no nonsense, but supportive approach, with the ultimate aim of helping others to shine. He works with both Executives and other leaders who are either undertaking a new challenge, project or role. The transition periodinto a new role, be it internal or external, is critical in creating the environment to be successful. As well as specialising in coaching leaders to improve their leadership capability, he also acts as a trusted advisor to owners of small businesses to drive success and create sustainable growth and wealth creation.

ABOUT US
Leadership Performance was conceived by a desire to share experience, knowledge and wisdom with leaders of all backgrounds and levels at important stages of their careers, to help build their capability and performance.
Our core strength lies in 3 discreet areas:
Career Transition Support - where we work with individual leaders to support their career transition. This could cover some or all of career planning, market insight, transition preparation, resume and social marketing approaches, working with recruitment agents and interview process preparation, practice and success strategies.
Performance Coaching - we use a Leadership Performance Model to support the development of the individual and their leadership skills, and measure performance improvement over time to demonstrate the value. Each participant has a quarterly plan with clearly articulated goals, which the participant and coach work toward in partnership. We are also able to access relevant psychometric tools to provide insight and analysis to help guide the coaching interaction. Through the quarterly plan, value is demonstrated, by providing measurable data to highlight performance gains.
Small Business Advisory - we work with small business owners to create strategies and approaches to build their business in a sustainable manner, creating wealth for themselves and their partners. Many small business owners spend too much time working in the business rather than on the business. We provide the space and experience to guide owners through the challenges of the growth cycle avoiding the pitfalls that can occur.
Our approach is highly tailored to the individual’s needs, so that we can walk ‘in their shoes’ and partner them to drive success. This approach requires commitment and accountability from both parties, and when this happens, we drive better results, faster.
